Samsung 64 GB DDR5-4800 ECC RDIMM 2Rx4 (Pulled)

This Samsung module is a 64 GB DDR5-4800 registered ECC DIMM (PC5-38400, CL40) in a dual-rank x4 organisation at 1.1 V, part-number family M321R8GA0BB0-CQK. DDR5 RDIMMs differ from DDR4 in several ways: the power management IC sits on the module, the 64-bit bus is split into two independent 32-bit sub-channels, each with its own ECC bits, and the DRAM adds on-die ECC. The module is the native part for fourth-generation Xeon Scalable (Sapphire Rapids) with eight channels of DDR5-4800 and for EPYC Genoa with twelve, so eight of them give a Sapphire Rapids socket 512 GB and twelve give a Genoa socket 768 GB at one DIMM per channel. It is not compatible with any DDR4 board.

Pulled DDR5-4800 modules began appearing as the first Sapphire Rapids and Genoa cloud and AI nodes are refreshed to 5600 MT/s parts. They are bought by AI hosting providers populating H100 and L40S servers, by integrators building Xeon 8480+ and EPYC 9004 systems, by universities and HPC laboratories, and by resellers in the CIS, Africa and South Asia. Each module is given a full-pass memory test and an SPD read, lots are sorted by part number and speed grade, and buyers extending an existing server should match the installed part so that all channels train at the same speed. Modules are sold per lot and carry a partner limited warranty of typically 90 days to 12 months stated in the quotation.

Second-hand memory is supplied through InTechnologies' licensed partners, who issue the contract, invoice and partner warranty. InTechnologies coordinates sourcing from decommissioning programmes and verified brokers, consolidation in Dubai Airport Freezone and DDP or DDU delivery to the customer.
