Intel Xeon Platinum 8260 Processor (Pulled)

The Intel Xeon Platinum 8260 is a 24-core, 48-thread Cascade Lake processor with a 2.4 GHz base clock, turbo up to 3.9 GHz, 35.75 MB of L3 cache and a 165 W TDP. What separates it from the Gold 6248 with the same core count is the Platinum tier: three UPI links and support for four- and eight-socket systems, plus Intel Optane DC persistent memory alongside six channels of DDR4-2933 up to 1 TB per socket. Like all Cascade Lake parts it includes the DL Boost (VNNI) instructions used for inference. The 8260 shipped in Dell PowerEdge R740 and R940, HPE ProLiant DL380 and DL560 Gen10, Lenovo ThinkSystem SR850 and SR950 and Cisco UCS C240 and C480 M5 systems.

The 8260 was one of the most widely deployed Platinum SKUs of 2019 and 2020, so pulled stock is plentiful and often available in matched sets of four or eight from the same source, which matters for multi-socket servers where steppings should agree. Buyers include hosting providers rebuilding four-socket database hosts, integrators, universities and laboratories, and resellers in the CIS, Africa and South Asia. Processors are tested in a reference platform, can be filtered by stepping and S-spec, are sold per lot, and carry a partner limited warranty of typically 90 days to 12 months stated in the quotation.

For second-hand processors the contract, invoice and partner warranty are issued by InTechnologies' licensed partners. InTechnologies coordinates sourcing from decommissioning programmes and verified brokers, consolidates the lot in Dubai Airport Freezone and arranges DDP or DDU delivery.
