The 9100 PRO, released in 2025, is Samsung's PCIe 5.0 x4 consumer SSD in the M.2 2280 format, using NVMe 2.0. Sequential reads reach up to 14,800 MB/s and writes up to 13,400 MB/s, depending on capacity. It succeeds the PCIe 4.0 990 PRO and is offered in 1 TB, 2 TB, 4 TB and 8 TB.
Each capacity comes with or without a heatsink. The heatsink version is the one to choose for PlayStation 5 expansion; the bare drive suits desktops whose motherboards have their own M.2 cover. Full PCIe 5.0 speed needs a PCIe 5.0 M.2 slot. Integrators usually mix 2 TB and 4 TB drives with CPU and board orders.
Drives are new and retail-sealed, consolidated in Dubai, and shipped with serial numbers listed per capacity.
