Supermicro SuperServer SYS-2029U Refurbished 2U Ultra Server

The Supermicro SuperServer SYS-2029U series is a 2U Ultra platform built on the X11DPU motherboard for two first- or second-generation Intel Xeon Scalable processors (Skylake-SP or Cascade Lake-SP) with TDPs up to 205 W. The board provides 24 DIMM slots for up to 6 TB of DDR4-2933 RDIMM or LRDIMM and supports Intel Optane DC persistent memory with Cascade Lake CPUs. The standard 2029U-TR4 chassis has 24 hot-swap 2.5-inch bays (14 SATA3 ports on board, with SAS3 and hybrid NVMe backplanes as options) and two optional rear 2.5-inch bays; the 2029U-TN24R4T variant is an all-NVMe version. Networking is four 1 GbE ports on the TR4 (Intel i350) or four 10GBase-T ports on the TR4T, and the system has seven PCIe 3.0 slots and 1000 W redundant Titanium power supplies. Refurbished units are built to order from tested parts, so CPUs, memory and storage are selected per quotation.

Supermicro Ultra servers are sought by hosting and colocation providers who prefer standard components, by system integrators building budget storage and virtualisation nodes, by universities and rendering studios and by resellers in the CIS, Africa and South Asia. Each unit undergoes burn-in, a full memory pass and backplane checks; BIOS and IPMI firmware are updated, fans and power supplies are inspected or replaced and thermal paste is renewed. Refurbished Supermicro systems are supplied via InTechnologies' licensed partners, who issue the contract, invoice and partner warranty. InTechnologies sources from decommissioning programmes and verified brokers, consolidates orders in Dubai Airport Freezone and arranges DDP or DDU delivery.
