The Juniper Networks MX204 packs the Trio-based MX Series routing feature set into a single rack unit. It offers 400 Gbps of system capacity through four QSFP28 ports, each configurable for 100 GbE, 40 GbE or four 10 GbE breakouts, plus eight SFP+ 10 GbE ports, and ships with redundant AC or DC power supplies and three fan trays. Junos OS on the MX204 supports full Internet routing tables, MPLS and segment routing, EVPN, broadband network gateway, carrier-grade NAT and inline telemetry, the same software that runs on chassis-based MX routers.
The MX204 is used by internet service providers and carriers as a peering, aggregation or broadband edge router in space-constrained points of presence, by content and cloud companies for 100G interconnects at exchanges, and by enterprises as a high-capacity WAN edge. Its compact size and 10.5 kg weight make it practical for colocation cages and cell-site aggregation hubs.

Juniper routing hardware is contracted and invoiced by our licensed partners, and InTechnologies looks after sourcing, consolidation in Dubai and DDP or DDU delivery.

How are the MX204 software licences structured?
The MX204 uses Juniper Flex licences with base and advanced tiers plus capacity and feature add-ons such as BNG subscriber scale; we build the licence set from your use case.
Can the QSFP28 ports be split into 10 GbE?
Yes. Each QSFP28 port can run as 1× 100 GbE, 1× 40 GbE or 4× 10 GbE with breakout cables, subject to the port-profile rules documented by Juniper.
Are AC and DC power options available?
Yes. The MX204 is ordered with either redundant AC or redundant DC power supplies, and airflow is front-to-back only.
What is the delivery lead time?
