Cisco Secure Firewall 1120 (Firepower 1120)

The Cisco Secure Firewall 1120, still widely known as the Firepower 1120, is a 1RU next-generation firewall for branch and small-office perimeters. Running Cisco Secure Firewall Threat Defense software it delivers 2.3 Gbps of firewall throughput with application visibility and intrusion prevention enabled, 1.2 Gbps of IPsec VPN, 200,000 concurrent sessions and 150 remote-access VPN peers; with the ASA image it reaches 4.5 Gbps of stateful inspection. The chassis offers eight 1 GbE RJ45 ports and four 1 GbE SFP slots, a dedicated management port, 200 GB of on-board storage and a single integrated AC supply.

It is used by distributed enterprises, government branches and managed security providers that standardise on Cisco Secure Firewall Management Center and need the same policy model at small sites as in the data centre. The hardware is sold with Threat (T), Threat and Malware (TM) or Threat, Malware and URL (TMC) subscriptions for one, three or five years, and management can run from the on-box Device Manager, cloud-delivered FMC or an on-premises FMC appliance.
