Cisco Nexus 93180YC-FX3 Switch

The Cisco Nexus 93180YC-FX3 is a 1RU top-of-rack switch for data-centre leaf layers, with 48 SFP28 ports at 1, 10 or 25 Gbps and six QSFP28 uplinks at 40 or 100 Gbps. It delivers 3.6 Tbps of switching bandwidth and 1.2 billion packets per second from a 40 MB shared buffer, supports wire-rate MACsec on every port, and adds the PTP and SyncE timing functions that telecom and financial customers need. The FX3 can run in NX-OS standalone mode or as a leaf in a Cisco ACI fabric, and supports VXLAN EVPN, Cisco Nexus Dashboard and streaming telemetry.

It is the standard 25G server-access switch in enterprise data centres, private clouds and 5G packet cores, where it connects dual-homed servers and storage arrays to 100G spines such as the Nexus 9332D or 9364C. Deployments range from a pair of switches in a branch data room to hundreds of leaves in an ACI pod; NX-OS Essentials or Advantage licences and optional Nexus Dashboard subscriptions are quoted alongside the hardware.
