How we supply this item
Supplied through licensed partners. Server, networking and data-centre hardware is supplied through licensed partners of InTechnologies FZCO. The partner issues the contract and invoice; we handle sourcing, consolidation in Dubai and delivery coordination. Export compliance
The Cisco ISR 4451-X is the largest fixed-chassis model of the ISR 4000 series: a 2RU branch and campus-edge router with four Gigabit Ethernet WAN ports in RJ45 or SFP form, three NIM slots, two SM-X service-module slots and an ISC slot for UCS E-Series or voice modules. Base IPv4 forwarding is 1 Gbps, unlocked to 2 Gbps with the Performance licence, and the control plane ships with 4 GB of DRAM and 8 GB of flash, expandable to 16 GB and 32 GB. Dual power supplies, integrated PoE and Cisco IOS XE with SD-WAN, firewall, voice and WAN optimisation features made it a common hub router for mid-size enterprises.
Cisco announced end-of-sale for the ISR 4451-X on 7 November 2023, with a last ship date of 6 February 2024 and support running until 30 November 2028. The router is still requested by organisations that must match an installed base, maintain spares for multi-site WANs or extend an existing SD-WAN deployment, while new designs are steered towards the Catalyst 8300-2N2S-4T2X and 8300-2N2S-6T replacements.
InTechnologies FZCO can source remaining new ISR 4451-X units from authorised channel stock, or propose the Catalyst 8300 successor, for customers in Dubai, the UAE and neighbouring markets. Cisco hardware is invoiced and contracted by our licensed partners; InTechnologies handles sourcing, consolidation in Dubai and DDP or DDU delivery.

Questions buyers ask
Is the ISR 4451-X still available as new?
Cisco stopped selling it in November 2023, so supply depends on remaining new stock in the authorised channel. We check availability per request and otherwise propose the Catalyst 8300.
Can I still buy licences and support for it?
Cisco support contracts can run until the last date of support on 30 November 2028. Performance and Boost licences are also end-of-sale, so confirm licence needs before ordering.
What is the recommended replacement?
Cisco names the Catalyst C8300-2N2S-4T2X and C8300-2N2S-6T as replacements; both reuse NIM and SM-X modules and run the current IOS XE SD-WAN software.
Does the router need a DNA subscription?
Classic ISR 4451-X bundles use perpetual technology licences, while SD-WAN or Catalyst 8300 deployments require Cisco DNA subscriptions; we clarify the licensing model at quotation.
