Micron 64GB DDR5-6400 ECC RDIMM (2Rx4)

The Micron MTC40F2046S1RC64BR is a 64 GB DDR5-6400 ECC registered DIMM in a dual-rank x4 configuration, built on Micron 16 Gb DDR5 DRAM. It is rated at 6400 MT/s with CL52 timing at 1.1 V and is the speed grade that Intel Xeon 6 and AMD EPYC 9005 platforms use at one DIMM per channel. Compared with DDR5-5600 it adds roughly 14 percent peak bandwidth per channel, which matters on 12-channel sockets feeding high core counts.

System integrators building HPC nodes, AI inference servers and bandwidth-sensitive database hosts specify DDR5-6400 modules where the platform runs them at full speed. The module is backward compatible and trains at 5600 or 4800 MT/s on earlier controllers, so it can also be bought as a forward-looking standard part for mixed fleets. Micron ships this base part with several ordering suffixes (BD2R, BH1R, BR) that denote die revision and packaging; they are electrically equivalent but should not be mixed inside one server. Two DIMMs per channel generally forces a lower speed bin, so capacity planning should favour one DIMM per channel with 64 GB or larger modules when 6400 MT/s is the goal.

Micron server modules are delivered through InTechnologies' licensed partners, who contract with and invoice the customer. InTechnologies handles the sourcing from Micron authorised distributors and verified channel stock, consolidates in Dubai Airport Freezone and arranges DDP or DDU delivery to the destination country.
