The Intel Core Ultra 7 265K is the mid-range unlocked processor of the Core Ultra Series 2 desktop line, with 8 Performance-cores and 12 Efficient-cores for 20 cores and 20 threads. The P-cores run at a 3.9 GHz base and up to 5.4 GHz, with a 5.5 GHz maximum turbo, and the E-cores from 3.3 GHz up to 4.6 GHz, supported by 30 MB of Intel Smart Cache and 36 MB of L2. Like the 285K it carries integrated Intel Graphics and the Intel AI Boost NPU, supports dual-channel DDR5-6400 up to 256 GB on LGA1851, and is rated at 125 W base and 250 W maximum turbo power.

In the channel the 265K is the higher-volume sibling of the 285K: system integrators use it in mainstream gaming and productivity desktops, corporate IT departments in engineering and finance workstations where the NPU and integrated graphics are useful, and retailers and marketplace sellers as the default unlocked Intel listing. The boxed BX80768265K version has no cooler; a 265KF variant without integrated graphics exists for buyers who always install a discrete GPU. Intel launched both in Q4 2024, and the processor has since received microcode and firmware updates through motherboard BIOS releases that integrators should apply before imaging systems.
