The Dell PowerEdge XE9680 is the first eight-way GPU server from Dell: a 6U air-cooled chassis that pairs two 4th or 5th Generation Intel Xeon Scalable processors with an eight-accelerator module of the customer's choice. Options are NVIDIA HGX H100 or H200 SXM5 at 700 W, NVIDIA H20, AMD Instinct MI300X OAM at 750 W with Infinity Fabric, or Intel Gaudi 3 OAM with integrated RoCE ports. The system provides 32 DDR5 slots for up to 4 TB of memory, up to 10 front-accessible PCIe Gen5 slots for 400G network adapters, up to 16 E3.S NVMe drives, and four hot-plug Titanium power supplies.

XE9680 customers are enterprises and public-sector organisations that standardise on Dell for AI training clusters, often as part of Dell Validated Designs for generative AI with PowerScale storage and Spectrum-X or InfiniBand fabrics. Because the chassis is air-cooled, it fits existing data halls without a liquid-cooling retrofit; customers who need Blackwell B200 move to the liquid-cooled XE9680L sibling.

InTechnologies FZCO sources PowerEdge XE9680 systems in the UAE and the wider region. The server is supplied through our licensed partners, who issue the contract and invoice, while InTechnologies manages the OEM order, consolidation in Dubai and DDP or DDU delivery. Configurations with NVIDIA or AMD accelerators are subject to US export regulations and end-user verification.

Can the XE9680 be ordered with NVIDIA B200 GPUs?

Blackwell HGX B200 is offered on the liquid-cooled 4U PowerEdge XE9680L rather than the air-cooled XE9680. We quote whichever chassis matches your cooling infrastructure.

What network adapters are used for cluster scaling?

Typically eight 400G ConnectX-7 or BlueField-3 adapters in the front PCIe Gen5 slots, one per GPU, connecting to Quantum-2 InfiniBand or Spectrum-X Ethernet switches that we can supply as part of the project.

Does export control apply to a server, not just the GPU?

Yes. A server containing H100, H200 or MI300X accelerators is controlled in the same way as the GPUs, so end-user verification and, where required, an export licence are completed before shipment.

What is the lead time?

Lead time depends on accelerator allocation from NVIDIA, AMD or Intel and on export processing; the licensed partner confirms a date with the quotation.
