The GoPro MAX2, released in 2025, records 360° video at 8K 30 fps or 5.6K 60 fps and takes 29 MP photos. Standard flat clips are cut from the spherical footage in the GoPro Quik app. The lenses are replaceable, which matters on a 360° camera where the domed lenses are exposed. It is waterproof to 5 m, uses Max HyperSmooth stabilisation, has a 1.82-inch LCD and runs on a 1960 mAh Enduro battery. It weighs 195 g.

Action-sports shops and online sellers stock it beside the Insta360 X-series. It takes both GoPro mounting fingers and 1/4-20 threaded mounts. GoPro also sells ski and water-sports bundles with extension poles in some markets.
