The first Ray-Ban Meta glasses were announced in September 2023 and run on the Qualcomm Snapdragon AR1 Gen 1 platform. They have a 12 MP ultra-wide camera recording 1080p video, 32 GB of storage, open-ear speakers, a five-microphone array and IPX4 water resistance. Meta rates the glasses at up to 4 hours of moderate use, and up to 36 hours in total with a fully charged case.
Gen 2 replaced this model in September 2025 with roughly double the battery life and 3K video, but Gen 1 Wayfarers remain in the trade channel and work with the Meta AI app. Resellers serving entry-level assortments, and buyers who mainly need photo, video, calls and music, take Gen 1. Gen 1 Wayfarers carry style codes RW4006 and RW4008, with colour codes such as 601/71 (Shiny Black / G-15 Green), 601/SB (Shiny Black / Clear) and 601S1M (Matte Black / Transitions Graphite Green). Because the frames look the same as Gen 2, insist on style codes when comparing offers.
We offer Gen 1 Wayfarers new and sealed while trade stock lasts, consolidated in Dubai with serial lists.

Questions buyers ask
Does Gen 1 still work with the Meta app?
Yes. Gen 1 glasses pair with the current Meta AI app. Gen 2 adds longer battery life and higher video resolution.
How do we avoid receiving Gen 2 under a Gen 1 description, or the reverse?
Order by style code: RW4006 or RW4008 for Gen 1 Wayfarer, RW4012 for Gen 2. We print the style and colour code of every line on the packing list.
