The M4 MacBook Air 13″ was the model before the M5 version. It has a 13.6″ Liquid Retina display at 2560 × 1664 and 500 nits, an M4 chip with a 10-core CPU and an 8- or 10-core GPU, and 16 GB of unified memory as standard with up to 32 GB. Storage starts at 256 GB. Ports are two Thunderbolt 4 and MagSafe 3, the 53.8 Wh battery is rated for up to 18 hours of video streaming, and it weighs 1.24 kg. It added the Sky Blue colour and a 12 MP Center Stage camera.
Because storage starts at 256 GB, the M4 Air remains the lowest-cost route to an M-series Air and is still ordered for education and office fleets. Colours are Sky Blue, Silver, Starlight and Midnight; memory is 16, 24 or 32 GB and storage 256 GB to 2 TB. The keyboard layout depends on the regional version, and most Dubai stock is English. The adapter plug follows the region.
