The Kodak Charmera is a keychain-sized digital camera made under Kodak licence by RETO. The 1987 collection is the first series, styled after the Kodak Fling, Kodak's first single-use camera from 1987. Inside is a 1/4-inch CMOS sensor behind a 35 mm f/2.4 lens; stills are 1440 x 1080 JPEGs (1.6 MP) and video is recorded as AVI at 30 fps. Photos go to a microSD card from 1 to 128 GB, which is not included. The body is ABS, measures 58 x 24.5 x 20 mm and weighs 30 g, and the 200 mAh battery charges over USB-C. Photo mode adds Kodak frames, vintage filters and a date stamp.

The camera is sold in blind boxes: there are six basic designs, each with 1/6 odds, and a secret edition with a transparent shell that shows the internals, drawn at 1/48. RETO does not publish names for the designs, but the official photos show yellow, red, blue, black, white multi-colour and silver-white bodies. A whole set (RK0602) holds six boxes with no repeats, and if the secret edition turns up it replaces one of the basic designs. Collectible and gift shops, toy chains and marketplace sellers usually order whole sets for display and single boxes for the counter. Every box contains the camera, a keyring and a USB-C cable but no memory card, so stocking microSD cards alongside is worth considering. RETO's official rating is age 15+.

Boxes are supplied new and sealed in RETO retail packaging, consolidated in Dubai and shipped with a packing list per carton. The later Millennium series is listed separately.

Questions buyers ask

Can we choose which designs we receive?

No. Single boxes are random by design. A whole set gives six different designs, and the secret edition can replace one of them. Tell us whether you want single boxes, sets or a mix.

Is a memory card included?

No. The camera needs a microSD card from 1 to 128 GB. We can add cards to the same shipment.

How does this differ from the Charmera Millennium?

The hardware and specifications are the same. The Millennium series has a different set of Y2K-style designs, frames and filters and is sold under its own codes (RK0603, RK0604).
