Canon RF 28-70mm F2L USM Lens

The RF 28-70mm F2L USM is a large L-series zoom that keeps an f/2 maximum aperture from 28 mm to 70 mm, so one lens covers ground usually handled by several fast primes. The optical design has 19 elements in 13 groups and a 9-blade aperture, and the lens focuses down to 0.39 m (0.18x). Focusing uses a ring-type USM motor, and there is a customisable control ring with click stops for aperture, shutter speed, ISO or exposure compensation. There is no optical stabiliser in the lens. It is a heavy lens at about 1,430 g, with a 95 mm filter thread and dust- and moisture-resistant construction.

Wedding and event photographers, portrait studios and rental houses are the usual buyers, and specialist camera shops stock it as a high-end option for full-frame EOS R owners. The weight and the 95 mm filter size are worth pointing out to retail customers, since filters in this size are less common than 77 or 82 mm. The lens is sold on its own; EU and Middle East versions are available and the destination market is set per order.
